CRYPTINA!
Cryptina is a horror host created by Ryan Twyford-Rigley, portrayed by Steph Twyford-Rigley.
Her first appearance was in Cryptina's Spook-Time Variety Show (2017), a horror anthology show written and directed by Ryan, starring + edited by Steph.
Cryptina made a return in 2020, this time co-written, co-directed, set designed, shot, starring + edited by Steph when The Dreaded Drive-In asked for four Cryptina-hosted feature length episodes.
All of the short films in the "Hosted by Cryptina" episodes were curated entirely by Steph + Ryan and all of the host segments were self-shot on a set Steph built and designed in their living room during lockdown.
Cryptina is an aspiring and often awkward mistress of the dark...
She introduces each film within her horror-comedy anthology series with the unwanted help of her ex-boyfriend Ghoulsby, a vampire cursed to be permanently stuck in the form of a bat.
So far, Cryptina has a pilot and 4 feature length episodes with hopes of becoming a full series.
